About

What this site does

It answers "what is happening with North Korea right now?" and "will there be a war?" on one screen. Korean and English headlines are collected every five minutes; market, prediction-market, reconnaissance-aircraft and official-alert data are added; and once an hour a Korea Threat Index (KTI, 1–5) is assessed. The assessment is produced automatically by a large language model under fixed rules and always carries source links. Article bodies are never stored, only titles and links to the original.

Who runs it

An individual in South Korea, independently. No affiliation with any government, military, media company or political party. Contact: the email in the footer.

Limits

KTI is an estimate. Official alerts come from the Korean Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. If the operating machine is offline the assessment may lag, and the board then shows an "assessment delayed" badge. The news feed keeps updating regardless.
